The Decade 2 expression is the second release in the Decade Series. This 10-year-old rye whiskey is bottled at 100 proof and features a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% barley. With its high rye content, this whiskey offers bold and spicy flavors complemented by subtle notes of vanilla and caramel from the oak barrel. This expression is an excellent example of a well-aged rye whiskey; its 100-proof bottling provides a satisfying warmth and depth of flavor.

Appearance

The whiskey has a deep amber color with a golden hue. The liquid appears viscous and has long legs when swirled in a glass.

PALATE: On the palate, the whiskey is bold and assertive, with a spicy kick of black pepper and cloves followed by notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and toasted oak. The mouthfeel is rich and full-bodied, with a slight oiliness and a pleasant warmth from the high alcohol content.
